On behalf of our client, Highbridge Resourcing are recruiting a Deputy Manager for a children's home based in Erdington, Birmingham. The company has 6 residential homes for young people and has been established for over 20 years. They offer a therapeutic approach to supporting young people in a residential home with a maximum allocation of 3 young people.

In order to be eligible to apply, you will need to be able to demonstrate at least 6-12 months working as a deputy manager in a children's home. You will need to have an understanding of Ofsted regulations and a minimum of 2 years professional experience of caring for young people. You will work closely with the Registered Manager and be expected to assume temporary responsibility of the home in the absence of the Manager.

Essential Training and Qualifications:

  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Ability to undertake and achieve Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children's and Young People's Services
  • Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g. First Aid; Safeguarding etc)
