Job Role: Residential Support Worker – Young People with emotional and behavioual needs

Location: Cannock
Contract: Permanent (No sponsorship is available)
Qualification: Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Salary: £12.21 to £12.50 per hour plus £50 per sleep in
Job description:
Youll support young people with their day-to-day lives in a homely, safe and structured environment. Your role is to provide consistency, guidance, and encouragement, just like a great parent figure would.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting morning and bedtime routines, meals, school prep and daily structure
  • Encouraging hobbies and activities like sports, video games, arts, or music
  • Helping with homework and promoting emotional wellbeing
  • Writing reports and maintaining records to meet compliance
  • Keeping the house clean, welcoming, and organised
  • Supporting contact with family, holidays, special events and outings
  • Administering basic medical care, including medication
  • Creating timetables, setting boundaries and promoting positive behaviours
  • Working closely with colleagues and management to provide high-quality care
What you need to have:
  • Experience as a Senior Support Worker or EBD Support Worker
  • Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (required)
  • Leadership qualities and a hands-on, positive approach
  • Full UK driving licence (or willing to get one within 6 months)
  • Confident in safeguarding, setting boundaries, and leading by example
