Project Manager required to work for a consultancy that provides pensions administration and software solutions to both public and private sector organisations.

You would get to lead a team of pensions administrators as well as other project support staff and pensions SMEs, delivering a range of projects such as GMPe work, buy-ins/buyouts, calculations and onboarding of new clients, amongst other things.

The role offers a lot of flexibility around working with 1 day a week in the office but may also involve travel to other offices on occasion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of pension technical projects that sit outside of the BAU pension administration activities to DB, DC and Hybrid occupational pension schemes.
  • Managing the team to deliver external client project work agreed with trustees/clients.
  • Project planning and budgeting from start to finish, including regular tracking against scope and milestones.
  • Overseeing the build of proformas and other calculation solutions.
  • Dealing with external clients through full project lifecycle, including attending client/trustee meetings regularly to update on delivery.
  • Managing a team of senior administrators, including looking at training and development.
  • Reviewing complex calculations as required, interpreting the rules of the schemes and other documentation.

You will need to have:

  • Previous experience of delivering projects for external clients.
  • Experience in both process change and systems/software delivery.
  • Some knowledge of pension buy-ins/buy-outs and transition processes.
  • Knowledge of GMP, DB, DC and hybrid schemes.
  • Previous exposure to working with DB pensions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
