We are working exclusively with the Director of a respected Residential & Supported Living provider in Derby to appoint a Responsible Individual to oversee a cluster of 5 children’s residential homes. This could be the perfect opportunity for Dual Registered Managers or current RI/Ops Managers who are looking for a change.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all 5 homes consistently meet and exceed Ofsted’s Children’s Homes (England) Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Support and supervise Registered Managers, fostering a culture of professional curiosity and high performance.
- Strategic Growth: Assist the Director in maintaining the provider’s high-quality status and driving continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Act as the primary point of contact for Ofsted and Local Authorities, ensuring robust safeguarding and governance across the cluster.
Requirements
- Proven Track Record: You must have significant experience as a Registered Manager (with "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted history) or be a current Responsible Individual/Operations Manager.
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Regulation Expert: A deep, working knowledge of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) and Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Leadership Style: A supportive, mentoring approach with the ability to hold teams accountable to high standards.
