We are opening a new, 2-bed residential home in Newcastle-under-Lyme dedicated to supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). We are not simply looking for a post-holder; we are seeking a skilled Manager who takes pride in the operational and clinical health of their home. You understand that the stability of a 2-bed home relies on robust impact risk assessments. We provide you with the autonomy to lead the matching criteria, ensuring every placement aligns with the home’s Statement of Purpose and the needs of the children already in situ.
You don't just acknowledge Regulation 44 reports; you utilise them as a tool for excellence. We want a Manager who welcomes independent scrutiny and acts decisively on recommendations to ensure the home remains in a constant state of improvement. You are skilled in translating the Quality Standards into daily life. You understand how to evidence positive outcomes and ensure that Regulation 45 reviews are meaningful reflections of the home’s progress. Working directly with the Directors, you will help shape the therapeutic culture of the home. You will be supported by a leadership team that understands the complexities of the RM role and respects your professional judgment.
Our bonus structure is strictly tied to Placement Stability, Staff Retention, and Audit Outcomes. We believe that by focusing on the quality of care and the stability of the environment, success—and Ofsted ratings—will naturally follow.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in managing or successfully registering a children's residential home.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Strong analytical writing for reports, a deep understanding of the SCCIF, and the ability to mentor a team toward high-level practice.
