We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant and nurturing childcare setting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager in delivering high-quality care and education, leading and developing a dynamic team, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements., Team Management

Lead and manage a team of childcare practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education.

Conduct staff appraisals, identify training needs, and support professional development plans.

Oversee and mentor apprentices, providing guidance and fostering their development.

Manage staff schedules and allocate tasks effectively.
Training & Development

Plan and document staff training sessions in line with regulatory and developmental needs.

Ensure all team members are up to date with mandatory training requirements.

Encourage continuous professional development and maintain training records.
Operational Duties

Support the Nursery Manager with the daily running of the nursery.

Ensure the nursery is compliant with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.

Provide high-quality childcare that meets EYFS standards.

Step in to cover for the Nursery Manager as needed.
Parent Engagement

Build positive relationships with parents, addressing concerns professionally and promptly.

Ensure effective communication between the nursery and families.
Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate records, including child observations, staff training logs, and regulatory documentation.

Contribute to staff recruitment and onboarding processes.
This role requires excellent organisational and leadership skills, a proactive attitude, and a genuine passion for early years education., * Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years Education or equivalent.

Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a nursery or childcare setting.

Comprehensive understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
