Cromer House Dental Practice is looking to expand their team of dental assistants.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and well-lead practice with its main focus being staff development and excellent patient care. Our full practice refurbishment has enabled us to expand the treatments and services we offer and therefore the growth of our nursing team is equally important to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
The patient journey and building a rapport with our clients is of the utmost importance to us. The successful candidates must hold a recognised dental nursing qualification and have sufficient experience of working within a dental environment and be able to apply their skills and knowledge from the offset alongside further training where required.
As part of the dental team the nurses role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the clinical areas and our patient journey, assisting in the organisation of our clinics to ensure maximum efficiency, to adhere to the practice protocols at all times in line with company policies, goals and values. The successful candidates must be professional, confident and have an enthusiastic approach to working as part of a vibrant team. The minimum qualities we would expect are:
- Positive attitude to help develop future practice goals
- Must be reliable, punctual, with a friendly and professional manner
- To be able to develop professional relationships with patients and the team
- Ability to resolve day to day problems
- Experience in Exact SOE/Dentally software systems would be desirable but not essential
- A good level of IT skills with a knowledge of Word/Excel programs
- Consistent learning and contribution to the development of the team and practice
- To use initiative and be pro β active
- An understanding and adherence of CQC requirements/ practice policies
- Be able to complete tasks set by senior nurses/Practice Manager
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and welcoming patients/visitors
- Preparing and maintaining dental equipment, instruments, and materials
- Carrying out infection control and decontamination procedures
- Providing chair side assistance to dentists and therapists
- Providing support and reassurance to patients
- Completing the required amount of annual CPD
- Providing administrative support to clinicians

- Implant nursing qualification or proven experience
- Radiography/CBCT qualification
- Infection control lead/HTM01-05 qualification
- Impression taking
- Dental photography
- Treatment Co-ordinator experience
