The predicted salary is between 46406 - 54595 £ per year.

Base salary: £46406 pa to £54595 pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer a flexible benefits fund of 20% which is paid on top of the base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits.

The Senior Platform Manager (D365 & Power Platform) sits within the Platforms & Operations function and is responsible for the effective management of HS2’s Dynamics 365 and Power Platform capabilities. This role is responsible for the overall service quality of platforms and for using and applying knowledge of business goals and platform specific requirements to frame problems and set priorities for internal and external delivery teams.

About the role:
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day management of suppliers who will deliver various platform development capabilities (on HS2’s behalf).
  • To provide support and guidance to all direct reports (where applicable).
  • To define and implement platform strategy and vision, supporting the business to define the future strategy for platforms, and subsequent platform requirements.
  • Act as HS2’s principal technical subject matter expert on matters of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and associated Microsoft technologies.
  • Manage the design, delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of HS2 technology platforms, in line with business needs.
  • Understand emerging technologies and how these can add value to strategy and wider roadmap.
  • Manage a service support team with a customer-centric support approach across multiple locations, focused on service availability and performance.
  • Ensure all service and support functions remain responsive to customer needs.
  • Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
About you:Skills:
  • Business analysis: Ability to investigate problems and opportunities in existing processes and contribute to recommending solutions.
  • Continual service improvement: Ability to identify process optimisation opportunities and contribute to the implementation of proposed solutions.
  • Service reporting: Ability to produce relevant reports in a standard format in an agreed timeframe.
  • Strategy: Ability to work within a strategic context and communicate how activities meet strategic goals. Ability to develop strategies and policies.
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of digital information, digital contexts, design services, new technologies and their potential application.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Frameworks, Methodologies and best practice.
Type of experience:
  • Experience of managing the operational delivery of IT services, working with internal and external IT service teams to meet stakeholder/user needs.
  • Experience of leading a team through the full platform lifecycle, continuing to meet user needs by evolving the platform designs.
  • Experience of supplier or vendor management.
