Join our team this summer at High Sierra Pools! We are seeking lifeguards, pool managers, and area lifeguards for our Shrewsbury location. Our certified lifeguard rates are among the highest in the industry.

If you have good swimming skills and want a fun summer job where you can make a difference in your community, this role is ideal. We offer flexible seasonal schedules including full-time, part-time, and weekend-only shifts.

Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities
  • Opening and closing the pool daily according to schedule
  • Regularly treating the pool with the correct chemicals
  • Monitoring activities in the pool area and ensuring safety
  • Directing swimmers out of the water in dangerous situations
  • Monitoring weather reports to ensure guest safety
  • Organizing and overseeing pool parties
  • Providing swim lessons and coaching swim teams when applicable
  • Maintaining a clean pool environment
Lifeguard Skills and Qualifications
  • Valid Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications
  • At least 16 years old
  • Two or more years of lifeguard experience
  • Current ARC certification
  • Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding certification
  • Positive attitude and readiness to help others
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment in-water skills test
  • Experience coaching swim teams and teaching swimming lessons
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug testing if required
