A day in the life of an HSL Showroom Manager:

As the leader of your showroom and home visit service (where applicable), you’ll be responsible for creating a warm, professional and supportive environment for both your team and your customers. You’ll take ownership of the showroom’s commercial performance, leading by example and always looking for ways to improve.

A few things you’ll need:

  • Commercial awareness to deliver showroom targets and KPIs, including average order value and customer conversion rate.
  • The ability to manage payments and handle cash in line with company procedures.
  • An awareness of local market conditions and competitor activity.
  • The ability to coach your team in delivering exceptional service standards, product knowledge, upselling and cross‑selling to maximise every sales opportunity.
  • Pride in your working environment ensuring your showroom, team and any associated delivery vans reflect the standards of a premium brand.
  • The ability to recruit the right people who represent HSL’s values and provide a high‑quality induction and ongoing development.
  • The ability to conduct regular performance reviews, giving feedback and recognising achievements.

You’ll be supported with in‑depth training through our HSL Academy at Comfort House in West Yorkshire, with hands‑on learning and expert guidance from our independent Occupational Therapist, Julie Jennings. We’re proud to help our people grow.
