Interim Warehouse Manager for a Warehouse Transformation Programme and WMS Implementation in Berkshire. This is an opportunity to redesign how an entire warehouse operation will work for the next decade. Our client is a highly respected UK food manufacturer investing significantly in their manufacturing and supply chain infrastructure.
The role involves:
- Defining the future warehouse operating model.
- Managing existing teams and reviewing warehouse processes from goods-in through to dispatch.
- Identifying operational risks before warehouse transformation takes place.
- Improving inventory governance, stock integrity, and warehouse controls.
- Supporting the development of robust warehouse operating procedures.
- Ensuring warehouse requirements are fully represented within the wider transformation programme.
- Challenging existing warehouse practices and introducing more efficient ways of working.
- Improving utilisation of warehouse systems and operational reporting.
- Working alongside Inventory and Supply Chain teams to improve stock visibility and inventory management.
- Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse interfaces with production planning and transport.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the warehouse operation.
- Coaching and supporting the existing warehouse leadership team.
- Acting as the senior escalation point for operational issues where required.
- Building practical, sustainable solutions that continue delivering value long after the assignment has finished.
We're looking for someone who has experience in food manufacturing, chilled or ambient food production and warehousing, high-volume manufacturing, and complex warehousing operations. You should have led projects involving warehouse transformation, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory optimisation, and operational excellence.
This assignment offers a package of £500-£550 per day + expenses for a 6-9 month assignment with an immediate start preferred. It provides a high-profile transformation programme and the opportunity to shape the future warehouse operation of a leading UK food manufacturer.
