Field Service Assistant\\nLocation: Exeter\\nEmployment type: Permanent & Full Time (40 hours per week)\\nSalary & Benefits: £26,800 per annum + overtime opportunities paid at time and a third. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and annual company bonus, early Friday finish. 1 in 6 weeks working a later shift with Fridays off.\\nLooking for a career you can build from the ground up?\\nWhether you’re ready for a change of pace or looking to step away from the ordinary 9 – 5, this is your chance to launch a hands-on, outdoor career – no previous experience required.\\nWe’re looking for dependable, practical individuals to train as Field Service Assistants in a role that offers variety, structure, and long-term opportunity.

This is not a desk job – you’ll be outdoors, problem-solving, working as part of a close-knit crew, and learning new skills every day.\\nWhat you’ll be doing:\\nYou’ll be part of a two person crew installing, calibrating, and maintaining water monitoring equipment across Devon and Cornwall’s wastewater network. Your responsibilities will include:\\n * Attending sites (homes, businesses, public areas) and working in confined spaces across Devon and Cornwall, with a very occasional need to travel further across the UK (all expenses paid with a generous night out allowance included too)\\n * Diagnosing issues and taking action\\n * Safely uplifting and offloading products, tools, and equipment\\n * Driving and maintaining company vehicles, reporting any defects\\n * Cleaning, securing, and caring for all tools and vehicles\\n * Ensuring all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to client satisfaction\\n * Liaising professionally with customers on-site and with internal supervisors\\n * Identifying opportunities for improvement and additional services\\nYou’ll receive full training and support—if you're motivated and willing to learn, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.\\nWe’re looking for someone who:\\n * Enjoys practical, physical work and being outdoors in all weathers\\n * Is reliable, hands-on, and eager to learn a new trade\\n * Can work respectfully around customers at residential and business sites\\n * Holds a full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points for insurance purposes)\\n * Feels comfortable working in small teams and confined spaces\\nFull training provided:\\nWe’ll equip you with everything you need to succeed, including:\\n * Confined Space Training\\n * NRSWA – Signing, Lighting & Guarding\\n * CSCS Card\\n * First Aid at Work\\n * Ongoing support to build your confidence and skills\\nWhat’s in it for you:\\n * A long-term, secure career path with growth opportunities\\n * Generous travel and overnight allowances when required\\n * The chance to learn highly transferable skills in a growing industry\\n * Be part of a team that supports you every step of the way\\nThis is more than just a job – it’s a fresh start.\\nIf you’re practical, willing to learn, and ready to get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.\\nApply now to take the first step toward your new career
