We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing infrastructure services business that operates across the UK, delivering critical electrical works to commercial and industrial clients, including fuel retail and petrol forecourt environments. This is a role for an electrician who takes real pride in their work, values autonomy, and wants to be part of a business that genuinely invests in the development of its people.

With realistic overtime, total earnings typically reach £50,000 – £55,000, and the business has a strong track record of supporting engineers through further qualifications, including CompEx certification if you’re not already there.

The Role

You’ll be working across a varied portfolio of sites carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, inspections and testing for commercial and industrial clients. Day‑to‑day you’ll largely work independently, but you’ll be well-supported by a wider team of engineers, management and support staff.

Specific responsibilities include responding to breakdowns and planned maintenance callouts, liaising directly with clients on site to discuss ongoing works and identify further service needs, completing test certifications and RAMS documentation to the required standard, and representing the business professionally at all times. The role will involve travel across a wide geography, with occasional overnight stays required.

What You’ll Need

  • Essential Qualifications & Certifications:
    • C&G 2330 or equivalent / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
    • 18th Edition Certification
    • C&G 2391 or equivalent (Inspection & Testing)
    • JIB Gold Card / ECS Gold Card
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Hands‑on electrical experience in commercial or industrial settings
    • Competent in completing RAMS documentation
    • Valid, clean UK driving licence
    • Right to work in the UK
    • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • The Right Attitude:
    • A confident self‑starter who works well independently
    • Clear, professional communicator with both clients and colleagues
    • Motivated to grow with a business that values development and innovation
  • Desirable:
    • CompEx Ex07 & Ex08 – if you don’t hold this yet, the business is prepared to support the right candidate through certification, so please don’t let this put you off applying

The Package

  • £38,500 – £43,000 depending on qualifications and experience
  • Company van and fuel card provided
  • Door‑to‑door pay
  • Overtime realistic total earnings of £50,000 – £55,000 per annum
  • Excellent development and training opportunities, including CompEx if required
  • Full‑time, permanent PAYE employment

If you’re a qualified electrician based in or around Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders or the Newcastle area and you’re looking for a role that offers variety, autonomy and genuine progression, we’d love to hear from you
