The brand creates inspirational and trusted content that drives personal growth and positive change. Through podcasts, live events, publications, and corporate work, our vision is to reach as many people as possible around the world and enable them to achieve healthier and happier lives.

Our Values: responsibility, attention to detail. Simply put: we do the best we can, where we are, with what we've got.

About the Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic, data-driven and forward-thinking YouTube Lead to join High Performance as we approach our next stage of accelerated growth. In this role, you will own the YouTube strategy across our portfolio of channels and shows, leading a team of Channel Managers to maximize audience reach and engagement at scale. The ideal candidate will have proven experience growing multiple podcast YouTube channels, with a deep understanding of the key metrics for audience retention and community growth, as well as the key High Performance categories (Sport, F1, football, experts). This position requires a strong leader who can build and execute long-term strategies for audience growth across multiple channels, working closely with Channel Managers and production teams to analyse, interpret, and report on data to drive informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and delivery of YouTube strategy – Develop a comprehensive YouTube strategy to take High Performance into the next stage of accelerated growth across multiple shows.
  • Team leadership – Manage, support and develop a team of YouTube Channel Managers across multiple shows, setting clear direction, frameworks, and performance expectations.
  • Drive audience growth across all channels – Maximise the potential of both new and archive content through close collaboration with producers and Channel Managers.
  • Create data-led testing frameworks – Develop and own data-backed frameworks for titles, thumbnails, and content strategy to improve organic performance, translating findings into clear recommendations for producers, Channel Managers, and senior leadership.
  • In-depth data analysis and reporting – Track and analyse YouTube Analytics to assess performance and identify opportunities for optimisation. Provide detailed reports on channel growth, audience demographics, and key engagement metrics.
  • YouTube relationship management – Serve as the primary point of contact with YouTube, managing the platform relationship and staying ahead of new features, policy changes.
  • New feature trials & experimentation – Lead the testing and evaluation of new YouTube features and formats, providing structured feedback and recommendations to the wider team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing and growing YouTube channels, preferably with evidence of past successes at scale across multiple channels.
  • Experience leading or managing a team, with the ability to set strategic direction and support others to deliver against it.
  • A deep understanding of YouTube platform algorithms and key performance metrics, and proficiency with YouTube Studio Analytics and other related tools.
  • A test and measure mindset: able to design experiments, monitor the effectiveness of different strategies, and make clear recommendations based on results.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, and an impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, resolving problems, making sound decisions and knowing when to refer upwards.
  • Experience of reacting to constant changes in priorities and reorganising workload to meet demands.

Our goal is to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams and workplaces. We take our responsibilities under the Equality Act seriously, we celebrate differences and encourage everyone to be themselves at work.
