We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Finance team at High Peak Borough Council (HPBC) and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC) as a Finance Technical Officer. This is a full-time permanent position which will primarily work to fulfil the finance support service role, which provides financial data and interpretation for budgeting, monitoring and commentary to budget holders and Member reporting.
In addition, there will be responsibilities for system administrative functions, closure of accounts tasks and control reconciliations. We will be excited to meet with candidates who can demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in their work, with a willingness to take ownership and a dedication to achieving timetables and deadlines.
The Finance Technical Officer role is pivotal to support the Councils' Business Partnering approach in a team which supports the wide range of services delivered by the Councils. Successful candidate will be employed by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council; contractual work base is Moorlands House however will be expected to travel across all Alliance geographical locations.
