KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture supporting the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to enhance morale, productivity, and performance.
  2. Ensure the safe supervision of facilities and the health and safety of all users.
  3. Provide effective, preventative lifeguarding during all pool sessions.
  4. Implement emergency action plans in case of accidents or injuries, including water rescues and first aid, in line with training.
  5. Maintain physical and lifesaving training to meet current Health & Safety regulations and standards set by High Life Highland, participating in relevant training.
  6. Assist with and supervise the safe operation of water and land-based activities.
  7. Organise and lead activities and classes as required within the programme.
  8. Promote safe and acceptable user behaviour.
  9. Ensure all equipment is maintained to safety and cleanliness standards and set out safely when needed.
  10. Liaise with other users and staff regarding daily operations of the centre.
  11. Regularly update yourself on all relevant written procedures.
  12. Report any suggestions for improvements to the centre manager or supervisor.
  13. Ensure the facility cleaning programme is completed to the required standard.
  14. Perform reception and cashier duties, including admission and cash control.
  15. Deliver inductions in the Fitness Suite.
  16. Promote and sell High Life Memberships to potential customers.
  17. Provide high-quality customer care.
  18. Pursue ongoing professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of Culloden Leisure Centre and High Life Highland.
  19. Attend and complete relevant training, online or in person.
  20. Strive to reduce wastage and support environmental sustainability in all tasks.
  21. Support other areas of High Life Highland with projects, training, or staffing during absences, working cross-functionally as needed.
  22. Work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with prior notice for leave requests.
  23. Perform all tasks following High Life Highland policies and procedures, including GDPR, health and safety, and reporting concerns to management.
