KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture supporting the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to enhance morale, productivity, and performance.
- Ensure the safe supervision of facilities and the health and safety of all users.
- Provide effective, preventative lifeguarding during all pool sessions.
- Implement emergency action plans in case of accidents or injuries, including water rescues and first aid, in line with training.
- Maintain physical and lifesaving training to meet current Health & Safety regulations and standards set by High Life Highland, participating in relevant training.
- Assist with and supervise the safe operation of water and land-based activities.
- Organise and lead activities and classes as required within the programme.
- Promote safe and acceptable user behaviour.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to safety and cleanliness standards and set out safely when needed.
- Liaise with other users and staff regarding daily operations of the centre.
- Regularly update yourself on all relevant written procedures.
- Report any suggestions for improvements to the centre manager or supervisor.
- Ensure the facility cleaning programme is completed to the required standard.
- Perform reception and cashier duties, including admission and cash control.
- Deliver inductions in the Fitness Suite.
- Promote and sell High Life Memberships to potential customers.
- Provide high-quality customer care.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of Culloden Leisure Centre and High Life Highland.
- Attend and complete relevant training, online or in person.
- Strive to reduce wastage and support environmental sustainability in all tasks.
- Support other areas of High Life Highland with projects, training, or staffing during absences, working cross-functionally as needed.
- Work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with prior notice for leave requests.
- Perform all tasks following High Life Highland policies and procedures, including GDPR, health and safety, and reporting concerns to management.
