The predicted salary is between 20000 - 28000 £ per year.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity and performance.
2. Provide excellent customer care to all visitors with an enthusiastic attitude.
3. Provide information, guidance and assistance to all visitors.
4. Actively encourage visitors to make donations.
5. Support both the immediate and wider teams within the museum – in particular assisting with the set up for events and activities, and helping the IMAG café staff.
6. Work on a rota basis, including regular weekend and bank holiday working, and occasionally in the evening.
7. Ensure the museum environment is cared for – buildings, artefacts and all facilities are kept clean and tidy.
8. Ensure that day-to-day activities and procedures are carried out safely, and to undertake training in line with High Life Highland’s Health and Safety requirements.
9. Undertake retail duties in the museum shop – to keep it clean, tidy and restocked.
10. Carry out daily and weekly checks in line with requirements for collections care.
11. Pursue continuous professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of Inverness Museum and Art Gallery and High Life Highland as a whole.
12. Attend and undertake any training online or in person.
13. Aim to reduce wastage and uphold our environmental values of being as sustainable as possible in all tasks.
14. Assist and support other areas of High Life Highland with particular projects, training or in the event of holidays or sickness working cross-functionally across the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery team.
