KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity's purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity, and performance.
  • Comply with Health & Safety recommendations and standards set by Highlife Highland, and be familiar with the role and responsibilities of the post.
  • Regularly update yourself on all written operating procedures and follow them accordingly.
  • Organise and lead activities and classes within the programme as required by the Manager and Supervisor, supporting children's activities and holiday play schemes.
  • Set out and take down equipment, ensuring it is maintained to a high standard of safety and cleanliness.
  • Carry out routine maintenance of equipment and fittings as needed.
  • Perform general cleaning of all areas to a high standard.
  • Regularly check for cleanliness and safety, ensuring safe work methods are followed.
  • Provide first aid treatment if qualified and trained to do so.
  • Cover reception duties as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
  • Be familiar with the High Life membership scheme and actively promote its benefits.
  • Be friendly and helpful to users, upholding high customer care standards.
  • Work as part of a team and contribute to the development and promotion of the centre.
  • Attend training sessions to achieve and maintain relevant qualifications.
  • Identify and communicate any improvements that could increase the centre's effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of Inverness Royal Academy and High Life Highland.
  • Attend and complete any required training, online or in person.
  • Strive to reduce wastage and uphold environmental sustainability in all tasks.
  • Support other areas of High Life Highland with projects, training, or cover during holidays or sickness, working cross-functionally within the Inverness Royal Academy team.
