We require an enthusiastic, qualified Child Development Practitioner to work within our setting based in Cambuslang.

The successful applicant will work as an effective member of the childcare team and support trainees/students in the delivery of the service. Delivering a high-quality child centred service that meets the needs of the children and their families.

The successful candidate will:

* be responsible for all aspects of care for young children including changing nappies, toilet training, changing clothing and encouraging dental hygiene
* lead and evaluate planned activities
* assist in the continued monitoring, evaluation and assessment of the nursery in terms of the improvement plan
* assist in planning and delivering a stimulating and appropriate programme of experiences and learning activities to children that address the key aspects of the curriculum
* liaise with parents and outside agencies e.g health visitors, speech and language therapists
* promote positive behaviour in the nursery environment
* undertake evaluation of children\’s progress through preparing and completing running records including transition paperwork
* encourage and promote child-led learning and activities
* ensure the nursery environment is stimulating and inviting
* undertake cleaning duties that ensure the health and wellbeing of service users and staff

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.60-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33 – 42 per week
