About The Role

The Senior Performance Coach will provide expert support to local senior management in managing the day‑to‑day operations of the onsite fitness spaces with a key client, including the delivery of onsite and virtual classes, gym inductions, fitness programming, space operations, and work closely with other departments and local leadership to support the delivery of the internal wellbeing strategy for Westfield Health. The successful candidate will be an internal wellbeing ambassador, inspiring others and acting as a key enabler for change.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support local senior management in the day‑to‑day management and coordination of the allocated Active Space(s); covering staff/class scheduling, space appearance, team coordination and day‑to‑day checking protocols such as cleanliness, maintenance and inventory.
  • Deliver high‑calibre coaching practice across our program, including 1‑1, small group & group sessions at all ability levels; across coaching services & outreach programs.
  • Conduct regular H&S checks on spaces & inventory through monitoring processes alongside local senior management, in line with client needs & expectations.
  • Assist the delivery and role‑model the wellbeing programme by facilitating staff initiatives through Westfield Health education programmes that can be presented to the client.
  • Conduct orientations & consultations to remain connected with client user base outside of traditional coaching & maximise engagement across our offerings.
  • Report required metrics to monitor the utilisation and performance of the Active Spaces and wellbeing initiatives, including but not limited to attendance, engagement, outreach efforts, and activity level.
  • Assist various other departments with the delivery of training programmes, workshops and all other Westfield Health associated initiatives to meet the requirements of the wider internal wellbeing/L&D Strategy.
  • Play a key part in the delivery, creation and improvement of our wellbeing initiatives.
  • Build and sustain relationships with line managers, employees and external stakeholders.
  • Play an active role in project coordination, including local coordination of client‑facing projects & events, from ideation to execution & reporting.

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently hold an industry certificate such as Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training/Fitness Instructing and Personal Training.
  • BSc in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning or equivalent and/or MSc Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science or equivalent would be beneficial.
  • A proven track record of successfully working independently to establish training needs, develop interventions to meet these needs, and deliver high‑quality health and wellbeing solutions and interventions.
  • Proven experience of developing effective working relationships and influencing internal employees.
  • Expertise in teaching group coaching classes with emphasis on helping improve technique and ability.
  • Minimum of two years of personal training / coaching experience desirable.
  • Strong analytical & presentation skills.
  • A self‑starter with strong planning, project coordination and organising abilities.
  • First‑class interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels & with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to engage, influence and coach others across the business to achieve buy‑in and engagement to support delivery of the wellbeing strategy.
  • A passion and ethos for helping others with their health and wellbeing.
  • A strong collaborator who excels in team environments.
  • Excellent computer skills including Chrome OS, Microsoft Office Suite or related products.
