We're working with a leading insurance business seeking a
Technical Accountant on a 12 month FTC to join its Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity to combine technical accounting with data, systems and process improvement in a business undergoing continued transformation.
Acting as the link between Finance and Data, you'll support financial reporting, ensure the accuracy of Data Warehouse calculations, strengthen controls, and help deliver automation and reporting improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main liaison between Finance and Data teams.
Review and validate premium and acquisition cost calculations.
Investigate discrepancies and support the month-end close process.
Improve financial controls and reporting processes.
Support the implementation of new products and reporting requirements within the Data Warehouse.
Assist with testing, reporting and finance transformation initiatives.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and reduce manual reporting through technology and AI.
The candidate for that would be a good fit for this Technical accountant position should have the following experience: Strong insurance accounting knowledge.
Experience working with financial data, reporting and reconciliations.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
Experience working across Finance, Data and IT teams.
A proactive approach to process improvement and automation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
