Are you an Underwriter looking for a slight change of direction? Outstanding opportunity to join this well regarded and respected global audit function. Working closely with the Global Head of Audit, you will conduct technical underwriting audits of all classes of business throughout London and European offices.
Responsibilities will include:
- Performance of technical underwriting audits to ensure that corporate and profit centre underwriting guidelines are followed.
- Pre-audit preparation, audit execution and audit report preparation for profit centre and senior management.
- Identify issues and report the same to the Group HOIA and corporate senior management.
- Make recommendations to rectify issues noted and devise an effective system to follow-up on the status of compliance.
- Develop working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, i.e. legal, compliance, reinsurance, credit department etc.
- Assist in providing technical training and mentoring to newly joining or less experienced members of the team.
- Perform ad hoc projects as needed.
Ideally you will have:
- A number of years of insurance experience, preferably from an underwriting background or audit.
- Good understanding of underwriting audit methodologies and standards.
- Good understanding of P&C Insurance, Reinsurance, Lloyd's Markets and Managing General Agency operations.
- Good understanding of Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority framework.
Ideally you will hold:
- Relevant professional qualification (CIIA, ACA, ACCA, CII).
