Job Description
We're recruiting for a Technical Accounting Manager to join the finance team of a leading organisation within the insurance sector.
As the Technical Accounting Manager , you'll play a key role in providing technical accounting expertise, supporting statutory reporting, leading accounting assessments for complex transactions, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities Provide technical accounting guidance across UK GAAP, US GAAP and regulatory reporting.
Prepare technical accounting papers for senior management, auditors and regulators.
Lead accounting assessments for acquisitions, investments and other complex transactions.
Support the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory developments.
Assist with the preparation and review of UK statutory accounts and legal entity reporting.
Liaise with external auditors and key internal stakeholders throughout the reporting cycle.
Support finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver reporting and accounting projects while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
About You ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly UK GAAP (IFRS and US GAAP advantageous).
Experience preparing statutory accounts and technical accounting papers.
Confident managing relationships with auditors and senior stakeholders.
Experience working on acquisitions, investments or other complex accounting projects is desirable.
Strong analytical, communication and project management skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
