A well-established UK insurance provider with a strong reputation for delivering specialist motor solutions is seeking a Head of Compliance (SMF16). Known for its customer-focused approach, the business combines underwriting expertise with data-driven decision making. In this role, you will provide independent, strategic oversight of regulatory compliance and conduct risk across the Group and its subsidiaries. You'll help ensure good customer outcomes, support compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide pragmatic, commercially aware advice to the business. You will work across both the regulated entity and wider Group activities, offering effective challenge and oversight where regulatory compliance, customer outcomes, or conduct risk may be impacted.
As the SMF16 function holder, you will be responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure the business meets its regulatory obligations. You will provide independent second-line oversight and challenge of the Consumer Duty and Operational Resilience frameworks, helping to ensure they remain effective and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Board and Executive team, providing forward-looking insight, constructive challenge, and regulatory leadership.
