An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Syndicate Finance Manager to join a leading Lloyd's insurer on a 12-18 month fixed-term contract.
This is a broad and highly visible role, taking ownership of Lloyd's regulatory reporting while working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting and Risk.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of statutory and regulatory reporting, driving process improvements, supporting finance transformation initiatives and helping develop junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and review of Lloyd's regulatory returns and statutory reporting.
Manage the end-to-end syndicate reporting timetable, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
Oversee the production of Syndicate Financial Statements and ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements.
Act as the primary contact for external auditors, coordinating audit activity and managing stakeholder relationships.
Present financial and underwriting commentary to senior management and governance committees.
Support Lloyd's capital setting activities and the annual syndicate distribution process.
Drive process improvements, reporting efficiencies and finance transformation initiatives.
Maintain a strong financial control environment and ensure appropriate governance across reporting processes.
Collaborate with teams across Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, Risk and MI to deliver high-quality reporting.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior members of the Syndicate Finance team.
Candidate Profile We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience within the Lloyd's insurance market and a proven background in syndicate finance and regulatory reporting.
