I am currently partnered with a leading Insurer who are seeking a Claims Manager to join their team on an 18-24 FTC basis to help out with Professional Indemnity Claims against Construction professionals. This role will be handling specific Construction PI Claims from notice to settlement, predominately from the UK, with international exposure. My client is looking for a qualified Solicitor in the UK with strong claims experience within Construction PI.
Key Responsibilities- Complex Claims Handling: Managing a portfolio of high-value professional liability claims (including design issues, structural failures, and breach of contract), with regular reporting to senior claims leadership.
- Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with insured clients, providing proactive guidance and support throughout the claims process.
- Litigation Management: Instructing and overseeing external legal advisors and experts to develop cost-effective, strategic defences in litigated matters, including participation in meetings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
- Claims Reserving: Setting and maintaining accurate and timely reserves in line with internal procedures and best practice.
