I am currently partnered with a leading Lloyd's Syndicate who are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join their Property team.
You will be Underwriting a variety of Property products on a global basis including direct and FAC business. My client leads most business, writes primary (60%) and excess (40%) business, and would be keen to grow out the International book more.
My client is looking for an experienced Property D&F Underwriter with a great portfolio track record, and someone with strong broker connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite Direct and Facultative Property risks, including complex international business.
- Play a key role in establishing and growing the D&F Property portfolio, helping to shape underwriting appetite, areas of focus and overall strategy.
- Build and strengthen relationships with London Market and international brokers, establishing the business as a credible, long-term D&F partner.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the business plan, supporting profitable and sustainable growth.
- Act as a senior technical referral point, providing strong underwriting judgement and market insight.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, capacity and pricing across the D&F Property market.
- Ensure underwriting activity aligns with agreed underwriting standards, reinsurance strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across underwriting, operations and leadership as the proposition and portfolio continue to evolve.
