We've partnered with a leading UK insurer to find a Senior Reserving Actuary to join their growing Reserving function. This role offers broad exposure across personal lines products and focuses on delivering high-quality reserving insights, enhancing processes, and supporting key business decisions.
You'll take ownership of key elements of the quarterly reserving cycle, working from data through to insight and reporting, while challenging outputs and improving methodologies. The role provides strong stakeholder interaction across Finance, Claims, Risk, and senior committees, along with the opportunity to mentor junior team members and contribute to wider transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities:- Lead and deliver core elements of the quarterly reserving process across multiple product lines.
- Review, challenge, and validate reserve outputs to support robust decision-making.
- Develop and enhance monitoring tools, incorporating insights from Claims on emerging trends.
- Drive continuous improvement in reserving processes, models, and reporting.
- Support Solvency II / UK Technical Provisions and IFRS 17 reserving outputs.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and present findings clearly to senior audiences.
- Mentor and support the development of junior actuaries.
