I am currently partnered with a leading Lloyd's Broker who are seeking a Senior Claims Advocate to join their Financial Lines team on a 12M contract. This role will be handling PI, FI, D&O and Cyber Claims from global jurisdictions, ensuring the effective management and settlement of claims. My client is looking for someone with 3-5 years experience of handling Financial Lines Claims from an Insurer or Broker view and someone who has experience using ECF.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management and handling of a wide range of claims across Professional, Financial and Cyber business lines.
- Upon receipt of claim notifications, assess risk exposure, review claim details in line with applicable policy coverage and wording, acknowledge receipt to clients or intermediaries, and accurately set up and maintain claims files and in-house systems.
- Prepare and present claims information to insurers and clients in written or electronic formats, responding to subsequent instructions, queries and enquiries as required.
- Monitor insurer agreement and settlement of claims, ensuring timely payment to the correct beneficiaries.
- Escalate any claims issues or concerns promptly to management.
- Ensure clear communication of insurer instructions to clients and experts, and vice versa.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, experts and insurers through consistent, professional and responsive communication.
- Liaise effectively with placing colleagues, including the preparation and maintenance of claims statistics and production of Claims Renewal Reports for renewal purposes.
- Work closely with accounting teams regarding the collection and payment of funds, resolution of queries and clearance of accounting entries.
- Remain up to date with market developments and system changes, manage workload effectively, and report progress or issues to management as appropriate.
- Attend internal and external meetings as required.
