Role Purpose
Our client is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join their busy and friendly team. Reporting to the Buyer and working within the Product team, you will also be working closely with the Customer Services team helping to resolve customer queries whilst also supporting the Sales team with product queries, price matching and quote queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate product information, photography and assets are maintained through communication with suppliers and photography studio.
- New product set up, working closely with the Assistant Merchandiser.
- Aid Customer Services with any product related customer queries, communicating with suppliers where relevant to resolve the customers query.
- Support the Buyer with Monday trade, ad hoc analysis, sample requests and maintain an organised sample area.
- Attend relevant supplier meetings, exhibitions and shows to improve product knowledge and expertise.
- Weekly competitor checks, feeding back any price movement and new product launches.
- Highlight any areas of opportunity for the company.
- Keep up to date on our performance both at company and line level, promotions and activities.
- Provide support to cover for Merchandising team as and when required.
- Support the Sales team with price match and product information queries.

- Experience within a similar role.
- Able to travel on occasion to meetings, shows etc as and when required.
- Exceptional communication skills, building a rapport with both suppliers, Customer Service and Sales team.
