Role: M&E Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager Location: Belfast Salary: £Competitive Fed up doing the deal but never seeing where it lands? Most commercial managers get buried in paperwork that nobody above them ever reads. This one reports straight into the Regional and Operations Director. And one of the projects on your desk is a £100+ million investment that's one of the area's biggest builds in years. Is this you? You can read a contract and spot the risk in it before it becomes a problem, not after. You've negotiated hard enough, often enough, that it doesn't rattle you anymore. You'd rather be the person the operations team calls before a dispute than after one. If that's you, keep reading. What you'll be doing Reviewing contract terms and identifying commercial risk on new business and retenders Leading contract negotiation and finalising documents for new projects Owning legal and commercial matters for the region the first point of contact, not the last Chairing monthly contract reviews and keeping cashflow forecasts current across every project Working with junior QS's and Project Managers to protect margin and catch issues early Where you'll be doing it The company has been delivering mechanical and electrical building services for over forty years, working across the UK and Ireland including flagship projects from landmark commercial projects to industrial. You'd be covering commercial delivery across the region's live project portfolio including this industrial expansion not just one job in isolation. What you'll need Degree in a commercial related field, ideally Quantity Surveying or else equivalent experience (e.g. working your way from the tools into a Mechanical and Electrical / MEP Quantity Surveyor role) Strong negotiating skills and solid commercial awareness Experience administering different forms of contract, including NEC Comfortable owning monthly reporting to Board level, not just producing it What you'll get Genuine visibility across a live, high-value regional portfolio, direct reporting access to Director level, and backing from a contractor with 40+ years in the industry and the accreditations (ISO 9001, Safe Contractor, NICEIC) to prove it.
