Sick of being pigeonholed into one sector?
In this business you won't get siloed into a single specialism and left there.
You'll work across sectors, alongside our directors who are still hands-on from first sketch to final snag list, not tucked away three floors up.
Is this you?
Interested in progression toward Associate / Director?
Then you're exactly who we are looking for!
You're already operating at senior level, managing resource and holding the line on technical quality when the pressure's on.
You know Part L and CIBSE comfort criteria cold, and you can produce a full mechanical design package without someone checking over your shoulder.
You'd rather coach a team than just carry one on your back alone.
If that's you, keep reading.
What you'll be doing Leading and managing multiple technical design packages end to end Taking full technical responsibility for mechanical building services on your projects Managing key client relationships directly, not through three layers of sign-off Coaching and developing engineers, including collaboration between our Antrim and London teams Planning project delivery and spotting the technical risks before they become problems Where you'll be doing it The firm has been designing building services for decades and is still growing.
Having held an unbroken working relationship with blue-chip clients for over thirty years, the same clients keep coming back because they know they'll get responsive, expert technical knowledge, not a call centre.
With over 50 staff across the UK and Ireland, you'd be joining a firm big enough to matter and small enough that directors still know your name.
What you'll need Degree in mechanical engineering or a related construction discipline Knowledge and experience of UK regulations Demonstrable mechanical design experience, including Part L and CIBSE comfort criteria Experience across HVAC, public health, fire engineering and BMS design packages Chartered status (or working towards it) and experience with IES or REVIT/BIM would help but if you don't have them yet, training's provided, so don't rule yourself out.
What you'll get Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 WFH), Life Insurance, Critical Illness cover, Pension, 20 days holiday plus public holidays and Christmas closure and a genuinely broad range of sectors to build your experience across, rather than being locked into one.
