All rounder Carpenter/Maintenance Handyman, working autonomously across the Frazer Coast region. With 76 years’ industry experience, Higgins Coatings continues to be owned and operated as a proud family business. Higgins is Australia's premier commercial painting and maintenance contractor to a broad range of industries. Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an “all-rounder” to join our Wide Bay team on a full-time basis to assist our painting teams in doing general maintenance duties.
You will work across the Frazer Coast region, but most of the work will be around Hervey Bay & Maryborough. Duties include:
- Basic carpentry
- Tiling
- Door replacement
- Guttering
- Patching/rendering
- Pressure cleaning
- Minor repairs tasks
- Painting
You may also be required to assist our Project Managers with some basic estimating and quoting of repairs for our clients.
Role
You will need to have a ‘can do’ attitude and be self-directed to solve issues, as this role provides you a high degree of autonomy, often working alone. You will also need to have:
- Experience working in maintenance/remediation type works
- Trade qualification is preferable, but not a requirement
- Experience complying with safety systems and can complete/follow risk assessments
- Construction White Card and Blue card (preferred)
