What will you be DOING?
- Sample requests and kitchen management 50%: Working in our busy development kitchen, you’ll be following recipes to make delicious food to an agreed specification for use in customer & internal submissions, panels and marketing activities.
- Manage repeat ‘especially made’ sample request procedure end to end (including sample collection and despatch to the customer).
- Liaise with marketing and commercial on up-and-coming customer meetings.
- Organising finished stock samples which will require occasional shopping from supermarkets.
- Booking couriers and track costs against budget.
- Log sample requests on kitchen planner.
- Recipe development 50%: Working alongside the NPD team to bring new recipes to life adhering to launch and handover deadlines.
- Work alongside the marketing, commercial and category teams to deliver our food strategy.
- Understand bakery equipment, processes and limitations to ensure they are considered when working on NPD/EPD kitchen development briefs.
- Create and capture all NPD standard paperwork within the concept to launch process including recipe sheets, photos, kitchen QAS’s RP and costings.

What KNOWLEDGE do you need to have?

- Basic culinary knowledge of flavours, flavour pairings and how to make delicious products.
- Degree level qualification and/or relevant experience in a technical, food technology or development discipline.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- GCSE Maths (or equivalent).
- Experience within a culinary environment (ideal).
- Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene (ideal).
