- Role Description
- The Site Manager role at HIERON London is a 6-12 month contract starting in September, based on-site in Central London. Working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
- The Site Manager oversees daily site operations, applying strong site supervision and project coordination skills to manage day-to-day construction activities and workflows, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
- Using construction planning and scheduling tools, the role tracks progress and adjusts plans to meet deadlines, while coordinating subcontractors and trades, managing materials and equipment and supervising site staff.
- Responsibilities also include maintaining clear communication with project managers and clients and reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- The role involves monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting site inspections and applying quality control processes to ensure adherence to building standards and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are essential for managing site issues, risks and changing project conditions that may affect cost, time or quality.
- The Site Manager maintains good organisational and documentation skills, updating project documentation, records and reports, and plays a key role in fostering a positive, productive site culture that supports smooth delivery from design to build.
- Able to manage and coordinate multiple trade packages on site.
Qualifications & Requirements (Mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years' experience on high-end luxury residential projects, including grade I/II listed buildings.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working for a Main Contractor.
- with projects ranging from £500k to £10m.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, including CDM Regulations.
- HNC/HND in Construction Management (or related field).
- SMSTS certification.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- CSCS Black Card.
