We are currently recruiting for an experienced Reception Manager to join the team at Michelin* HIDE. HIDE is an urban oasis from the bustling world, hidden in plain sight. Spread over three floors, two light-filled dining rooms are set around a breath-taking central staircase and enjoy tranquil views over Green Park. Serving breakfast, lunch & dinner, a sizeable à la carte menu showcases the very best seasonal offerings, largely sourced from a close network of small farmers & suppliers from across the UK. A tasting menu with matching wine flights is also available on both floors.

Your role will include a variety of shifts including breakfast, double and closing shifts including bank holidays and weekends. Part-time applications will not be considered on this occasion. HIDE restaurants were awarded Michelin* within their first year. This is an ideal opportunity for a Reception Manager looking to join a great team of professionals. We are looking for a truly passionate professional looking to develop their career & are keen to promote from within. We foster our Host/Hostess team to develop their skills with mentorship from a member of our Management Team and an array of social activities and supplier visits.

The restaurant itself is a beautiful, uniquely designed space with bespoke tableware & one of the largest wine lists in the country. Service showcases the vast range of skills at our Reception Managers' disposal by bringing elements of theatricality to the dining room. This position is hourly paid and available for an immediate start.

As Reception Manager your duties will include:

  • Greeting guests and being the first point of contact
  • Ensuring a pleasant welcome and fond farewell for all guests
  • Managing the cloakroom service
  • Seating guests and informing management of any requirements
  • Leading and supporting the reception team during service
  • Managing rota planning and team organisation
  • Training and mentoring junior reception team members
  • Flexibility in working days and hours
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Using SevenRooms to maximise restaurant capacity
  • Menu and table plan printing
  • Supporting the restaurant team to turn tables efficiently
  • Reporting and resolving any operational issues with the relevant manager
