We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pass Supervisor to join the team at Michelin. HIDE is an urban oasis from the bustling world, hidden in plain sight. Spread over three floors, two light-filled dining rooms are set around a breath-taking central staircase and enjoy tranquil views over Green Park. Serving breakfast, lunch & dinner, a sizeable a la carte menu showcases the very best seasonal offerings, largely sourced from a close network of small farmers & suppliers from across the UK. A tasting menu with matching wine flights is also available on both floors.
This position is hourly paid with a starting wage of £16.21/hour.
As Pass Supervisor your duties will include:
- To maintain good communication between the Kitchen BOH and FOH team.
- To be respectful and respond positively to demands from the Head Chef or Chef in charge and the Management team.
- To ensure both passes in upstairs and downstairs kitchens, and drop off back of house areas are correctly set up as per MEP sheet before each service.
- To ensure both passes are organized, replenished with plates and kept tidy during all services.
- To help with training of new starters with management support.
- To provide feedback regarding junior waiter team and contribute to the team's development.
- To keep the Pass Book up to date at all times.
- To keep the crockery storage tidy and well organized.
- To make sure that all checklists are completed daily and signed by a manager.
- To report all comments/complaints/problems to the Floating Manager in charge or a Head Chef.
- To help the guests in any way possible.
- To be fully aware of the different types of plates and cutlery and their uses.
- To take trays to/from the restaurant, using the correct routes and drop off stations.
- To know perfectly the table numbers and position numbers.
- To be able to assist with serving or clearing tables.
- To be able to help with set up of the restaurant and private dining rooms.
- To be well presented in a clean and smart manner. The uniform to be clean and ironed.
- To have a good knowledge of all the dishes and of the menus.
- To have a good understanding of allergens policies in place.
- To participate in the daily restaurant briefings and monthly pass supervisor meetings.
- To have the ability to work both as a team and individually.
- To promote the image of the restaurant as a professional organization at all times.
- To demonstrate promptness, anticipation, and organization to deal with the different aspects of the position.
- To maintain the standards set by management.
- To be flexible in working hours and days.
- Attend and participate in any training and personnel development schemes as recommended by your manager.
