About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Ballroom Restaurant Manager to lead the operations of our elegant Ballroom Restaurant. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience, managing a dynamic team, and upholding the high standards of service that our guests expect. You will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, staff training and development, service excellence, and ensuring the smooth running of our busy restaurant service. This is a fast‑paced position; the restaurant can handle 600 covers per day across breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, training and motivating the front‑of‑house team to deliver exceptional guest service
  • Overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, service delivery, and team development
  • Maintaining and enhancing service standards in line with Hoar Cross Hall’s luxury brand
  • Collaborating closely with the kitchen and events teams to ensure seamless coordination and outstanding guest experiences
  • Managing staff rotas, payroll submissions, and effective labour planning
  • Supporting the Food & Beverage Manager with budgeting, stock control, and performance reporting
  • Professionally handling guest feedback and proactively resolving any service issues
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Demonstrating strong leadership and people management skills with a hands‑on approach
  • Communicating effectively and maintaining excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities
  • Bringing previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high‑volume fine dining environment
  • Showing a genuine passion for hospitality and consistently delivering five‑star guest experiences
  • Displaying flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Additional Information

Contract Hours: 45 hours per week
Working 5 out of 7 days (including weekends and bank holidays)
Annual Salary: £43,000.00
