We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is a hands-on, operational role where you’ll be working side by side with your team, setting the standard in both service and quality. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional food standards. You’ll lead by example, training and motivating your team, managing stock and costs, and delivering outstanding dining experiences for our guests and colleagues.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading from the front - cooking, plating, and ensuring dishes meet the highest standards
- Supporting menu development using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients
- Training, mentoring, and motivating a team of chefs and kitchen staff
- Overseeing stock management, minimising waste, and controlling costs
- Ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are maintained
- Engaging with guests and responding to feedback to guarantee satisfaction
What we’re looking for:
- An experienced chef with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach
- Have a passion for fresh, seasonal food and a keen eye for detail
- Be organised, calm under pressure, and confident in leading busy services
- A natural team player who can inspire, train, and develop others
- Have knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, and food safety regulations
Additional Information:
- Working 5 out of 7 days a week
- 45 hours per week
- Salary: £48,667.50 per annum
- Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business. This includes evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
