HID Global's EAT RFID Business Unit is seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead the promotion and sales of Omnikey Desktop and Embedded readers across the UKI & Nordics region. As the first Regional Sales Manager in the territory, you will play a critical role in establishing HID’s presence in the region, building a foundation for growth by developing new channels, securing key partnerships, and driving the adoption of Omnikey solutions in key verticals such as Healthcare, Enterprise, Banking and Secure Printing among others.
The Regional Sales Manager will take full ownership of channel development, go‑to‑market (GTM) strategy, market penetration, and the growth of HID's RFID solutions, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure that the Omnikey product line achieves maximum visibility and success in the UKI & Nordics market.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed regional sales quotas, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Build, manage, and develop a strong channel network of distributors, resellers, and system integrators.
- Manage the assigned territory through regular travel, customer visits, and new business development.
- Lead sales strategy and market development for Omnikey Desktop and Embedded readers across key verticals.
- Define and execute the regional go‑to‑market strategy in partnership with marketing and product teams.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, creating account plans to grow new and existing customers.
- Engage with end‑users and channel partners to promote Omnikey solutions and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, technical, and product management teams to align offerings with market needs.
- Represent HID Global and the Omnikey product line at industry events and conferences.
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance, channel effectiveness, and GTM execution.
- Work with Pre‑Sales to develop tailored solution configurations based on customer requirements.
- Submit timely sales reports, expense documentation, and other required administrative materials.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in business development and/or technical sales, preferably within the technology or RFID sector, with a proven track record of sales and a solid understanding of RFID technologies and the sales process.
- Previous experience in Physical or Logical access control use cases, with familiarity in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Authentication credential technologies, as well as additional knowledge in mobile‑centric digital transformation, is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to develop and manage a network of channel partners and integrators.
- An existing network in the UKI & Nordics region is advantageous.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives resulting in sales growth, particularly within the finance, healthcare, retail/point of sale, enterprise, or secure printing verticals.
- Understanding of end‑user corporate cultures and decision‑making processes in Banking, Education, and Commercial Real Estate is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead presentations and establish credibility with both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Experience working effectively across various departments, such as marketing, product development, and technical teams, to drive results.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines.
- Strong reasoning abilities to investigate and analyze information, draw relevant conclusions, and deal with complexity and ambiguity.
- Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and an ability to manage complex sales cycles.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technology preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in Physical Access Control, RFID, or related technologies.
- 5+ years of related vertical markets and business development experience.
Work Requirements
- Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
- Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired.
