HID Global is seeking a Trade Compliance Project Manager to lead cross-functional and cross-region initiatives that strengthen trade compliance execution, improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and support business growth. This role partners with regional trade teams, supply chain, procurement, engineering, customer operations, and external service providers to deliver sustainable process improvements and consistent global standards. The position serves as the primary liaison between HID business stakeholders and the Global Trade function, driving trade compliance projects from scoping through implementation, validation, and steady-state handoff.

As our Trade Compliance Project Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Acting as the primary liaison between Global Trade and business functions, representing trade compliance across the organization.
  • Leading end-to-end trade compliance projects from scoping and charter development through implementation, validation, and handoff.
  • Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance across classification, origin, valuation, export controls, sanctions, customs processes, and documentation.
  • Driving project execution by managing timelines, risks, and decision-making, ensuring regulatory accuracy and operational feasibility.
  • Applying broad trade operations knowledge to deliver complex, cross-functional, and international initiatives.
  • Influencing stakeholders without direct authority; holding teams accountable while maintaining a diplomatic, results-driven approach.
  • Planning and managing project execution (timelines, milestones, meetings, deliverables) to meet objectives on time and within budget.
  • Communicating project status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership; elevating issues and proposing mitigation actions.
  • Using data and analysis to influence business decisions and drive compliance outcomes.
  • Improving efficiency by optimizing processes, resource utilization, and coordination across business and operations teams.
  • Supporting M&A activity by conducting trade compliance assessments, defining remediation plans, and aiding integration into HID standards.
  • Developing and enhancing trade systems and tools to support compliant government reporting.
  • Supporting internal and external audits, including interactions with brokers and service providers.
  • Providing trade input to business initiatives and feasibility assessments.
  • Driving continuous improvement through tools, processes, and best practices; training stakeholders on trade compliance requirements.

Your Experience and Background include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of trade compliance, customs, or trade operations experience in a global environment.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful trade/customs project implementation.
  • Working knowledge of trade regulations, tariffs, preferential trade agreements, import/export policies, and customs clearance procedures.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply trade and customs regulations to business processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong listening, planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and hold others accountable in a diplomatic manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 20%.
  • Trade-related certification.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or similar enterprise systems.
