HID is a highātech software company headquartered in Austin, TX, with over 4,500 employees worldwide. We provide trusted identity and access control solutions. We are looking for a Manager, DevTest Tools to lead CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance in our HID PACS product line.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement testing techniques to support a scalable, automated CI/CD environment.
- Monitor and triage CI/CD pipeline test failures.
- Design, build and document new CI/CD infrastructure for new features.
- Identify and liaise with external teams to surface test gaps.
- Communicate test results to technical and nonātechnical stakeholders.
- Project manage and exercise technical leadership to achieve team results.
- Contribute to project and product planning discussions.
- Understand the product under test within the larger system.
- Coordinate with the Program team to flesh out test requirements for new features.
- Plan and scope new functionality test requirements.
- Make decisions regarding the Test Environment.
- Coācoach / mentor others at a technical level.
- Raise defects with the business and help prioritize them by severity.
- Research, plan and train others within the team.
- Deliver technical reports.
- Actively contribute to customer escalations.
- Champion TDD methodology and lead stakeholders in its implementation.
- Analyze data and prepare comprehensive project documentation.
- Design and conduct experiments, interpret data, formulate plans and solve problems.
- Assist the CI/CD Manager in delivering the DevTest vision.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of related industry experience.
- Experience designing, executing and maintaining device testing, embedded firmware, or software testing programs.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux installation/configuration.
- Experience with SQL databases for data validation.
- Proficiency in Java testing frameworks ā JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, dbUnit, NUnit, .NET, and similar.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Artifactory/Nexus, and Maven/NuGet.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy, UART, I2C, SPI protocols.
- Knowledge of secure elements, RFID, NFC, HCE or Bluetooth technologies (plus).
Preferred Experience
- Scripting: Bash, Groovy, PowerShell, Python.
- Programming: C#, Java, .NET.
- Testing tools: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Test CafƩ.
- Agile and Lean methodologies.
- Artifactory and Nexus repository management.
- Agile software development with Jira or similar tools.
- Systems integration and EndātoāEnd testing experience.
- No prior leadership experience required.
