ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Identify Upsell Opportunities – Analyse customer usage, needs, and business goals to uncover opportunities for additional products and services.
- Develop Expansion & Retention Strategies – Create tailored account plans to increase account value through expansion initiatives and ensure renewals occur on or ahead of time.
- Build Strong Customer Relationships – Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to understand evolving needs and position relevant solutions. Expand relationships beyond existing stakeholders. Travel to meet customers in Europe and Asia periodically.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams – Work closely with Customer Success, Product, Professional Services and Marketing teams to align on expansion goals and deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Support Business Reviews – Support quarterly business reviews and other customer meetings to showcase HICX products and services, introduce new offerings, and reinforce value.
- Negotiate and Close Upsell Deals – Manage the full sales cycle for upsell opportunities, including pricing discussions and contract amendments.
- Monitor Customer Health, Satisfaction and Risk – Track engagement metrics to proactively identify expansion potential and risk indicators. Follow prescribed Sales and Customer Success processes and use required tools – Maintain pipeline in Salesforce, keep customer data sanitized across HICX systems, attend internal meetings as required.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of software sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Expertise in expansion sales and renewals within existing customer bases.
- Strong understanding of corporate procurement and finance processes; ability to navigate complex buying cycles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Self‑starter with a high degree of initiative and drive; comfortable working independently.
- Collaborative mindset; able to work effectively as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and articulate value propositions.
