We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager to join our Hickey's Pharmacy team in Hickey's Pharmacy Edenmore SC.

The Role

Our Managers are essential members of our team who lead and inspire their colleagues. As Manager, you will be responsible for the overall running of your store and motivating your team while nurturing the Hickey’s Pharmacy culture in line with our Core Values – Ambition, Positive Teamwork, Customer Care, Professionalism, and Reliability. Our Managers lead and inspire. Taking responsibility for the overall running of your store, your primary focus will be accomplishing and exceeding store targets whilst also nurturing the Hickey’s Pharmacy culture. As a motivating leader, you will empower those around you to be their best, to innovate, and very importantly, to have fun whilst doing it.

We are looking for someone who is fully flexible from Monday to Sunday and who is dynamic and energetic to join our team. Full-time: 40 Hours. Supported in-store by an excellent team and a support office. Rosters are published up to 8 weeks in advance. Excellent training and support structures are also available centrally from our management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysing daily, weekly, monthly sales figures to ensure store profitability.
  • Ensuring that high standards are maintained for our customers and teams.
  • Management of stock and cash in line with company procedures.
  • Supervising and managing the day-to-day operations of the store.
  • Understanding and meeting the commercial needs of the business.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Developing strong relationships with our customers.
  • Efficient management of store operations, including cost management & rostering efficiency.
  • Effective performance management of colleagues including appraisals, disciplining, coaching, motivation & mentoring.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation.

What We Would Like From You

  • 2 years Manager/ People Manager experience – within a Pharmacy setting would be preferable but not essential.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Previous Dispensary experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and 'people' skills.
  • The ability to work in a busy environment and handle challenging situations.
  • Positivity, drive and enthusiasm with the ability that takes responsibility and makes decisions.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Confidence, drive and enthusiasm. Decision-making ability and sense of responsibility.
  • The ability to understand and analyse sales figures.
