We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to grow into a leadership role at Tamarix Lodge, our friendly and supportive older persons' residential service in Withernsea, East Yorkshire. As part of The HICA Group, you'll lead by example—supporting your team, ensuring high standards of care, and making a real difference in the lives of our residents.

Pay & Hours:
- £15.00 per hour
- 33 hours per week
- Night shifts
- Rota includes weekends (every other weekend)
The Role:
As a Team Leader, you'll oversee the care team and ensure the safe and effective delivery of care, support, and medication during your shift. With guidance from the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager—and support from our experienced team—you'll have the opportunity to get to know our residents and their needs before transitioning to night shifts (if applicable).
Key responsibilities include:
- Coaching and mentoring new and existing staff
- Reviewing and updating care plans
- Preparing, administering, storing, and recording medication
- Providing personal care (e.g. washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
- Promoting independence and enhancing residents' quality of life
- Maintaining professional relationships with residents' families
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately
About You:
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in care, ideally with NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- Medication trained
- Confident in supervising others and managing workloads
- A strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude

About Us:
Located in the popular seaside resort of Withernsea, Tamarix Lodge is a 35-bed care home, with 29 rooms conveniently located on the ground floor. We primarily provide physical care and support to older adults and individuals living with dementia. The home is within easy walking distance of local amenities, the beach, and shops—offering residents a vibrant coastal lifestyle.
