Pay & Hours: £13.70 per hour. Full time or Part Time Hours. Days and Night shift required as needed.
The Role: As a Care Assistant, you will support our residents in maintaining their independence and dignity by assisting with everyday tasks and activities tailored to their individual needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting residents with personal care (e.g. washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
- Promoting independence and improving quality of life
- Observing and recording physical and emotional wellbeing, and reporting any changes
- Assisting with meals and hydration to support nutritional needs
- Encouraging and supporting participation in activities
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents and their families
- Completing all relevant documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Assisting with safe mobility and transfers (e.g. from bed to chair)
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately

Additional Information: Located in the popular seaside resort of Withernsea, Tamarix Lodge is a 35-bed care home, with 29 rooms on the ground floor. We primarily provide physical care and support to older people and those living with dementia. The home is close to local amenities, with the beach and shops within easy walking distance. The HICA Group is a not-for-profit organisation providing a range of care services to older adults and people with learning disabilities across care homes, residential settings, and the community. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
