Pay & Hours:
- £14.53 per hour
- 38.5 hrs per week
- Working on a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)
- £500 welcome bonus (£250 to be paid at 2 milestones)
The Role:
You will oversee the care team and ensure the safe delivery of care, support and medication with all standards met during your shift. You will be fully supported by both the Deputy and Residential Manager.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coach and mentor new and existing staff
- Review care plans
- Prepare, administer, store, record and order medication
- Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
- Maintain and develop professional relations with families
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns
- Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
About you:
- Have an NVQ Level 2 in Care; however, this is not essential as our Team Leader Development Programme will support those wanting to take the next step in their career
- At least 1 year experience as a Care Team Leader is preferred
- Be confident in supervising others and be able to manage/prioritise workloads
- Be able to work as part of a team

Shift Management:
Oversee and run your designated shift, coordinating with team members to maintain a seamless care environment.
Medication Administration:
Safely and accurately administer medication, ensuring adherence to best practices and resident care plans.
Care Plan Review:
Regularly review and update individualized care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimise each resident's health and wellbeing.
Personal Care Assistance:
Provide dedicated support with personal care needs - ranging from bathing and dressing to grooming and mobility assistance - ensuring that each resident's dignity is upheld.
Promoting Independence:
Actively encourage and empower residents to maintain and develop their independence. You'll work closely with them to engage in daily activities, boosting their confidence and improving their overall quality of life.

The HICA Group is a 'Not for Profit' organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community. The Lodge is a specialist Nursing with Care home designed to support people living with dementia and the challenges they face. It is located within Buckshaw Retirement Village which is near Chorley.
