Pay & Hours:
- Rate of Pay: £12.50 per hour
- Hours of Work: 24 hours per week
The Role:
As a Wellbeing Practitioner, you will organise and plan weekly activities tailored to meet the individual needs of our service users promoting independence and making each day as fulfilling as possible. Examples could include seasonal activities such as painting Easter eggs, designing a Christmas card, arts and crafts, music & movement, gardening and attractions outside of the home in the local community.
About you:
- Previous experience working with individuals with Dementia would be advantageous
- Can work within a budget
- Previous experience planning and implementing activities or events
- Excellent knowledge of Customer Care
- Ability to keep accurate and detailed records
- Able to work unsupervised and to use your own initiative
- Excellent knowledge of confidentiality and its meaning

Additional Information:
The Wolds Care Centre has been designed around a Community Hub. The home has the luxury of a café, garden room, shop, cinema, activity room, a multi-activities room, library with WI-FI and internet access, and a sensory room. Residents can also enjoy the use of the on-site hair & beauty salon, where not only can they get their hair styled but also make use of the pedicure and reflexology services available. A multi-faith room is also provided which is used for regular services. A dedicated Activity Coordinator arranges for meaningful and engaging activities to be available daily, for everyone. The home provides a home for life within its specialist dementia, nursing and residential care communities. All bedrooms are spacious, boasting their own en-suite with wet room and each room is furnished to a high standard. Residents and their families are invited to personalise their rooms, creating their own unique environment, reflecting the individuality of the occupier.
The HICA Group is a 'Not for Profit' organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
