Pay & Hours:
- £14.00 per hour
- 44 hours per week
- Days - 12 hour shifts
- Working on a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)
- £500 welcome bonus (£250 to be paid at 2 milestones)
The Role:
You will oversee the care team and ensure the safe delivery of care, support and medication with all standards met during your shift. You will be fully supported by both the Deputy and Residential Manager.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and develop professional relations with families
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns
- Review care plans
- Coach and mentor new and existing staff
- Prepare, administer, store, record and order medication
- Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
- Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
About you:
You will have achieved or be working towards a Diploma/NVQ Level 2 and/or 3 in Health & Social Care, demonstrating your commitment and passion for care. Additionally, you will need to have completed medication training. You will be enthusiastic about the prospect of working as part of a dynamic team, ensuring the home adheres to all necessary requirements and procedures at all times, as the 'senior' in charge. You will quickly become an integral part of our care home family.

Additional Information:
The Wolds Care Centre has been designed around a Community Hub. The home has the luxury of a café, garden room, shop, cinema, activity room, a multi activities room, library with WI-FI and internet access, and a sensory room. Residents can also enjoy the use of the on-site hair & beauty salon, where not only can they get their hair styled but also make use of the pedicure and reflexology services available. A multi-faith room is also provided which is used for regular services. A dedicated Activity Coordinator arranges for meaningful and engaging activities to be available daily, for everyone. The home provides a home for life within its specialist dementia, nursing and residential care communities. All bedrooms are spacious, boasting their own en-suite with wet room and each room is furnished to a high standard. Residents and their families are invited to personalise their rooms, creating their own unique environment, reflecting the individuality of the occupier.
The HICA Group is a 'Not for Profit' organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
