This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within our Homecare team, supporting service users to live independently while mentoring and guiding care staff to deliver exceptional care.
About the Role
- Undertake risk assessments and develop person-centred care plans.
- Review and monitor care delivery to ensure quality and compliance.
- Supervise and mentor field-based care teams, including conducting medication assessments and practical observations.
- Liaise with service users, families, and professionals to maintain high standards of care.
- Step in to cover care calls when required to ensure continuity of service.
This role is pivotal in promoting independence and empowering service users to make informed decisions about their care.
Essential Requirements:
- At least one year's experience in a care and support setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to work on a rota basis, including on-call duties.
Desirable:
- Level 3 Diploma in Care, supervisory experience, and knowledge of risk assessment and medication management.
Pay & Hours:
- Rate of pay: £13.38
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Shifts: Shift pattern will be discussed at interview

About HICA
HICA at Home in Grimsby is one of 3 lead providers within North East Lincolnshire. We currently deliver approximately 2800 hours of community-based care per week in our geographical areas. These are Fiveways, Cleethorpes, Humberston and New Waltham, covering all aspects of personal care, medication administration, shopping, domestic and sitter service. We are a not-for-profit organisation, providing care services to older people and individuals with learning disabilities across residential, nursing, and community settings.
